Antique Georgian 1797 solid 18ct gold carnelian mourning signet ring in a size M.
Detail. Solid 18ct gold. Central large polished cabochon cut natural carnelian. Deep red colour, a lovely high quality example. East to West setting of the carnelian. Closed back setting. Engraved George Lister Esq ' ob ' 22, Sep, 1797 to the inside. Wide tapered band. No hallmarks but tests as solid 18ct gold.
Condition. Antique worn before. Well looked after and nice and clean. Carnelian clean and secure and in excellent condition. It has been resized historically. It has been polished and is ready to wear. Please see all pictures.
Size. Approximately - Ring size M. The carnelian measures 14 x 11 mm. The band measures 15 mm wide at the top and 3 mm wide at the bottom.
